Things have changed...

I took an extended break from Xanga and found that I don't miss it. I don't miss blogging. I don't miss reading blogs (nothing personal).

I don't like the person I was becoming on here. I don't like the image I was presenting. I don't miss the drama that came with blogging.

I do not plan to update or even visit Xanga all that often from here on out... I will be spending any "blogging" time I may have on updating my website/blog at http://alexsantidote.com

Thanks to all of my friends, acquaintances, and other visitors for visiting and commenting.

I'm not too into physics and I don't care for rap, but after watching this video I am quite impressed.

Seriously, I think this could turn out to be a really good way to study for a test... or at least a little less boring than I remember physics being in high school...

I know... long time no posty... :)

So I've been quite busy with work, school, church, family, moving, and life in general (and those are listed in no particular order)... Haven't had much time to post, let alone do anything for myself... Until today!

I decided it was time to help myself out a bit. I have been working hard on my classes and with work and all, but my computer was starting to get more and more cluttered (with files and programs I don't really need). And not to mention I wanted a better set up than the make-shift one I had squeezed out of this laptop.

But what can I do with little to no money free to spend on new parts or a new system all together?

Well, I dropped about $100 on a western-digital hard drive for my lappy (320 GB, which is about 300 actual GB... if you don't understand why there's a difference, don't feel bad, most people don't... Ask and I'd be happy to explain).

After a few weeks passed with my new hard drive just sitting there... begging me to break it in... I finally broke down and installed it today.

And since I was going to be reloading my operating system, I came up with a crazy Idea...

I had been using XP for the longest time (Windows is essentially required to run "window's only" programs for some of my courses), and I had been running Ubuntu Linux (and loving it I might add)... And to top it all off I had a genuine copy of windows vista business edition just sitting there (still sealed in plastic) that I bought a year or so ago for really cheap through a school sponsored discount program....

That crazy idea I mentioned? Oh... yeah... I decided to Triple Boot my system!

(Yeah I know... I'm a Geek right?)

I plan to write a tutorial/walkthrough of how I did it later for my website (the one that has been essentially shelved for the past 5 months)...

In other news... It's Friday night, and I'm so happy to be able to take a break from homework, work, and bills and can finally rest and spend some quality time with my wife and my son.

Then on Sunday it's back to moving stuff over to our new rental house (did I mention we were moving?) and catching up on homework.

I came across the following quote and it made me smile... :)

I don't know where it originates, it was pasted in a signature on a forum site... Anyway, I liked it... I hope you got a smile out of it too. If you don't get it, then don't feel bad, I'm sure on the grand scale of things the majority of people in this would would not get it.
